Women's Soccer Picks Up Road Victory

The Blackburn College Women's Soccer Team picked up a 2-0 non-conference soccer victory on Sunday at Rockford University.  The Beavers scored twice in the first half and made them stand up for the victory.  Blackburn controlled the match out-shooting the Regents by a 33-4 margin.

Blackburn took a 1-0 into just the third minute in the match as Libby Adams scored from five yards out with the assist credited to Lexi Lusk.  Morgan Adams then scored, also from five yards out in the 17th minute as Libby Adams gained the assist.  Libby Adams had eleven shots in the contest with five of them on goal. Goalkeeper Morgan Zobrist earned the shutout to improve her and the team's record to 2-3 on the season.  Zobrist saved all three shots against her.

Rockford is now 0-4-1.
