Blackburn Women's soccer was defeated by Westminster College on Wednesday afternoon. The Blue Jays won by a final score of 3-0.

Due to injuries, Blackburn was forced to play with only ten players on the field. Despite the disadvantage, the defensive effort was remarkable.

The Beavers gave up two quick goals early, but then proceeded to hold Westminster scoreless for the remainder of the first half, and well into the second half. Approximately 40 minutes of game time passed before the Beavers allowed another goal.

Westminster's offense was hot, but Rylee Helus, goalkeeper for the Beavers, was able to keep them off the board. She finished with 15 saves in the match.

Blackburn will head to Louisville on Friday evening for their next contest. Spalding University will host the Beavers for another SLIAC match. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m. EST.
