The Blackburn Women’s Soccer Team won their final home match of the 2023 season on Wednesday afternoon. The Beavers hosted the Eureka College Red Devils and won by a final score of 4-0.

The Beavers celebrated the careers of five seniors: Molly Koskey, Sophia King, Jada Lurry, Izzy Erickson, and Libby Adams. These five talented athletes were honored with family and friends before the game for their soccer careers at Blackburn.

In the first half, Blackburn went on the attack and did not let the Red Devils breathe. The Beavers ended this half with 16 shots and were strong defensively not letting Eureka have a shot at goal. With the vast amount of shots, the Beavers found the net multiple times. From the 5:41 minute mark, Senior Libby Adams started the scoring for the Beavers with a fast break goal, to make the score, 1-0. Not soon after, At the 12th-minute mark, Senior Izzy Erickson also added to the score for the Beavers to go up, 2-0. Senior Sophia King scored the last goal of the half as a pass from Libby Adams at the 26:48 minute mark, to go up, 3-0.

Until the 83rd minute, Senior Libby Adams struck a ball outside of the box from a pass of her fellow teammate and Senior herself, Molly Koskey, that ended up in the back of the net for the final score of the game, 4-0.
