Late Goal Keeps Blackburn From First Victory Against Faith Bible Baptist

The Blackburn College Women's Soccer Team were denied their first victory of the season when Demi DelPrior knocked in a game-tying goal in the 88th minute to force a 1-1 tie in a non-conference soccer match against Faith Bible Baptist College, on Monday afternoon in Carlinville.  Blackburn scored first in the match when Libby Adams nailed a goal from just inside the box at the 21st minute of the match giving the Beavers the 1-0 lead. It was Adams' second goal of the season and Izzy Harrington was credited with her first collegiate assist.  The Eagles knocked in a goal in the 87th minute but were called for offsides negating the game-tying goal.  Less than a minute later DelPrior tied the match with an assist credited to Kayla Stephens.

For the match the Eagles out-shot Blackburn 18-14 and led in corner kicks, 14-12.  The clean match was played without and cards given.
