Defensive Specialist Amanda Swedberg was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. The sophomore from Sycamore, Illinois led the Beavers defensively in a 3-0 sweep over Eureka College. She had a total of 22 digs and recorded two serve aces. Swedberg also had 12 digs and an ace in a loss to Greenville University.  

Swedberg had another impressive performance with 27 digs and five aces in a tough loss to Spalding on Sunday, February 28. 

 She currently sits second in the conference with 104 digs and fourth in conference with 4.52 digs per set. 

Swedberg is recognized for this award as Defensive Player of the Week for the second time in her collegiate career, as she was also awarded this during her freshman season.
