The Blackburn College Volleyball Team took on the Lady Blues of Illinois College on Thursday night at Dawes Gymnasium for their second home match of the season. The Beavers fall to the Lady Blues in three sets (18-25, 16-25, 14-25).

The Beavers were again led by senior Emily Eitzenhefer with three kills and two blocks , and sophomore Zoe Mitchell tieing Eitzenhefer with kills and blocks.. Not far behind was junior Cara Pence with five kills one assist.

The Lady Blues were led by Alyssa Burgland with 17 kills and two blocks. Junior setter Summer Brandis dished out 28 assists, also racking up three kills and a block. 

The Beavers will head to Webster University this weekend to play a tri-match with the Greenville Panthers at 12 p.m. and the Gorlocks at 2 p.m.
