Volleyball Splits Two Non-Conference Matches

The Blackburn College Volleyball Team hosted a tri-match with Rockford University and Judson. The Beavers split going 1-1 on the day. In the first match Blackburn swept the Regents, 3-0 (25-14,25-17,26-16).

The Beavers were led by Senior Kyleigh Marty with nine kills and a block, while freshman setter Kenadee Frey recorded 18 assists. Transfer Madison Watret had twelve digs and two assists.

The second match of the day didn’t fare as well for Blackburn as they lost in three straight to Judson (19-25,15-25,18,25).  Junior Jessica Muckensturm led the Beavers with six kills with a .385 hitting %

The Beavers hope to take the good and the bad of this weekend as they will travel to Fulton, Missouri on Wednesday night taking on Westminster College in a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Match.  Blackburn is currently 5-10 on the season.
